Utilising my own honestly made up term "Phodeographicer" that branches from "Phodeographics"
That carries the meaning/combination of:
Photography, videography and graphics design
This brand looks to represent my eye of detail with these linked services as not only do they utilise key and transferable skills; but are closely intertwined in multiple industries such as commercial and general content creation for entertainment and marketing.
I like to photograph in a diverse range of styles and subjects, as I just aim to capture an aesthetically pleasing frame for a wide range of audiences. As I like to also create highly edited shots to coincide more natural pictures to created a greatly varying catalog of images of what I believe looks best. Where applications can be in commercial/marketing print coinciding graphics (that I can make myself), digital use on sites and general media or for printed decoration and display (but where all rights are reservered, thank you :) ). As this a hobby I like pursuing on a general and creative base; as I like using photographic conventions alongside my own eye for detail and imaginitive vision.
During my college course, a challenge I quite enjoyed tackling is creating a simplistic but meaningful logo/branding for any brand I work with; since I look to use multiple symbols and aspects that origenated from the linked themes and industries with a unique aspect/twist.
Like with these provided examples:
Esports team with a key aspect of duality (friendly but competitive) and a wise & strong elephant (with examples of further branding below)
Freelancer lifestyle enterprise that produces commercial or general photography, videography and graphic design (sound familiar? 😅)
Charity event logo for Firstshot esports and the three chosen charities, trying to incorprate each organization's branding together (while of course still being unique)
I produced graphic designs for the esports team FirstShot (while following/abiding to their brand guidelines), by producing templates for their weekly fixtures, diverse designs for thier roster announcements and formulating posts to thier requests. Such as celebratory posts for their team's successes, announcement of collabration, posts for a hosted event and overlays for their live stream that all linked to the used themes and aspects. As I looked to use multiple different looking designs and graphics, with creating different and engaging backgrounds & foregrounds; while looking to use themes of geometry, neon and already used smoke & paint strokes. Where all of this looked to explore on the already used/experimented graphics in previous posts; while looking to create and establish branding aspects for any other future posts while trying to appeal to an esports (college) demographic.
To help with upcoming college event with a competition and a customer immersion event downstairs, I created event themed posts and stream overlays where I looked to establish some brand/event consistency and made all the needed content like announcements and game information which was displayed on Firstshot's socials and in person on posters. This is where I first looked to expand on the team's branding with the use on neon lines and cement my use of paint strokes which I looked to utilise more commonly as I thought they were more appealing then geometric shapes (especially seen in the leaderboards I made).
This event I played a more direct part in, such as it's design, planning and production; since I helped with setting up event details such as choosing a charity livestream (for flexability, potential and feasability), then providing the shared documents needed and help where needed. But my main contribution was the branding and event design, first involving the logo designs where I looked to combine the Firstshot logo with the idea of reloading (while giving space for the other charities we are raising money for). Then I looked to create Firstshot's charity branding with a logo silhouette in the background, gradient and pattern background with a spiral to give a familiar sight in charity media. Next was to sort out useable aspects from our chosen charities, like shapes and colours, to where I combined the esports team's branding with an aspect from all the charities' branding. As I used all of this to create my three useable posts and all the stream overlays that we used, as I looked to cover all of the needed scenes (like individual game overlays) and provided additional elements like QR codes for easy access to donation pages, social plugs to hopefully help with the growth of the team, schedule to inform on what is happening next and lastly a funds raised tracker to make sure we were celebrating how much people were donating. On top of all if this, I played a big part in the production of the stream, with monitoring and controlling OBS for the magority of the stream, playing my role in observation and trying to help fix any arising issues
Huge congratulations to the SGS Firstshot Rocket League team on becoming British Esports Student Champs National Champions 2026. This an incredible achievement built on their hard work, teamwork, and consistency. And I’ve been grateful to play my own small part behind the scenes with creating graphics, posters, and the announcement and celebration posts for this win; seeing those designs go live on the official Firstshot socials (and even appear in the group photo (that made it on to the British Esports page)) has been such an honour. It’s been a chance to put everything I’ve learned into practice, from branding and layout to colour theory and consistent esports presentation, with every post being carefully planned and iterated to show my potential and support the team properly. Huge congrats again to the entire squad, you’ve absolutely earned this; and it’s been a joy to contribute to the journey in my own way.
