Umbrella company, and represents all things technological, logical and creative.
This is the main name/brand that represent me and my ambitions.
With the meaning of the name being as followed:
Xenodochial = Friendly/Welcoming
Factotum = Employee of a diverse range of task and jobs
These are prints that I created during my Media BTEC that helped my initial development of my skills of media design and theory. As I learned all about common industry conventions and the reasoning behind many media choices like Mise-en-scène. As I had produced the following:
Horror film poster, based on a idea I made of a 90s mall where unfortuate indicdents took place.
Innovative newspaper, with a formal and informal cover covering a range of topics and an article of a TV show I had created; that both have abnormal structures and design choices.
Leaflet for an physical activity company (with two custom-made logos) that looked to promote sport where I wrote scientific/persuasive informtaion within it.
I was gifted an amazing experience at AProduction where I was given 5 days to learn modeling and animation using 3ds max (for the first time) using a series of youtube tutorials; as I made two different lamps, seat, chair and teapot all while learning how to use modeling tools. Then finally, I was tasked with creating an animation in the last two days that they would render for me; so I made two robots (with one having a mock up and final design) and created a seven scene sequence using my previous days of learning.
And here is a link to the final animation I made:
As another engaging work experince project, the task was given to produce a detailed presentation about a potential collabration between Corsair and a brand of our choice; and so Nintendo was chosen with plenty of backup research and justification. As the following topics where covered: Concept idea, target markets, design/specification trends, competitior analysis, consumer profile and consumer persona profiles, brand allignment, key headset technical specification and mood boards. As this all lead to the product designs where I created 25+ mock ups of the multiple chosen IPs/games, with the written thought process and reasoning behind each and every design. With ideas of marketing and key aspects to keep in mind when selling this product with what the main objectives where (with plans of general base model headsets and an idea of having the limited edition game orientated headsets that could work as collectable/desirable peripherals).
To continue off from the previous work experience project, Chillblast provided their own "Byte" projects where we looked to form an esports brand of our choice, from the following catagories: Esports, Content, Community-Based Team. Where I created a project in a team and individually; as I had an idea I really wanted to follow through with, while still being happy to continue the project with my friends with our idea. Where I looked to create the branding and logos for both projects with "Melon Marauders" & "Bristorge" as I looked to create industry fitting logos with relavant aspects and thoughtful creative decisions. As for Bristorge, I individually developed the team idea where I covered relavant aspects (as seen in the images bellow); to formulate a team that can represent esports in Bristol and all other creative medias.
I chose a course that I believed would be creatively and thoughtfully insightful and helpful, where it explored an array of job roles and topics that are apart of an industry I could take interest in (through my interest in gaming); esports. Since during these two years I completed a strictly assignment based grading where I looked to complete 32 assingments that spanned my duration there. With differentiation taking place with each assignment like with if it was a case study, research project, electronic report, portfolio, presentation, planning (like for an event or session), video/recording to name examples. As I learned from 15 units, including: esports skills, strategies and analysis, video/print production, shoutcasting, enterprise and entrepreneurship, psychology, events, live stream broadcast, business applications in social media, producing a brand, coaching and exercise, health and wellbeing. Where I looked to apply myself fully and achieve the best grade achievable; and so this course was really helpful in finding what I enjoy and am able to do as I look to apply myself digitally and creatively not just in the esports industry.
